You can focus entirely on expression, emotions, shapes, shadows, texture, perspective and light without the distraction of colour. The result is timeless monochrome photographs which have elegance, magic and class. Every photo immediately feels more romantic and intimate. The traditional white/ivory wedding dress lends itself particularly well to black and white photography because it immediately captures the eye and draws attention to the bride. Although not the most common choice for weddings, black and white photography creates a strong sense of mood and can feel even more photojournalistic/reportage compared to colour photographs.
